This was the first sunset of the week I will be spending on Santa Rosa Beach in Florida. The beach is such an amazing place. I think this is where I get the most of my reading done. There is something about the sound of the waves and the smell of the salt in the air that grounds me. It was actually on a trip to the beach that I decided I would pursue a career as a professional photographer. I was sitting on a beach chair, looking up at the biggest, brightest moon I think I've ever seen. It's bright light was so beautiful. I sat there for hours and contemplated my life while I watched the moon's beams ripple in the water. Life has a funny way of falling into place. Here I am, a year later, looking up at the same galaxy full of stars, and the same bright moon that guided me to the place I am now. Only this time, I am contemplating how to use this gift I have been given. I can't wait to see what the rest of this week will bring me. I cannot express enough how fortunate I am to be able to go on trips like these. Without them, I think I would have lost my sanity a long time ago.
